UNA-USA Southern Illinois Chapter members met with Representative Mike Bost on May 27, 2022 at his Carbondale office to advocate for UN funding. The members sought support for full payment of our country’s UN dues and peacekeeping payments including to begin paying back arrears to UN peacekeeping operations that accrued since 2017. UNA-USA Southern Illinois Chapter members, Olga Weidner, Helen Ashraf and Phil Eberle, continued our chapter’s advocacy efforts for UN support the following week with virtual visits with the staffs of Senator Richard Durbin, Senator Tammy Duckworth and Representative Bost during UNA-USA’s Leadership Summit.
